All-Region Band Auditions
November 2-3
Our focus this fall remains on improving our participation in All-Region Band. Each year, students from schools across our region prepare seven major scales, their chromatic scale, and two challenging pieces of music. They travel to Coppell Middle School West, meet other students and compete with top musicians for positions in two All-Region Bands.
Magazine Drive
This is our only means of raising funds to support the Band program. We encourage all members to participate and support our efforts in this area. Our kick-off for this year's drive is September 10.
Jazz Bands
Auditions for membership in Jazz Band are coming up in the next few weeks. Students interested in competing for a place in brass, woodwinds, guitar, bass guitar, or keyboards should be prepared to play two jazz minor scales and one prepared piece. We have expanded the band to include positions for flutes, clarinets and french horns.

Positions currently available: Those interested in playing percussion, which includes drum set or congas, should be familiar with at least two jazz styles from the following choices:
Swing Rock Blues Latin
Auditions will be held after school in the Ensemble Room, with recordings reviewed for accuracy. Dates for auditions will be posted in the Band Hall and on this site, and extend from Tuesday through Thursday.
