tell you where to go.
TAG: Archetype Self Test and Hero Chart Homework: (1)Print the archetype notes (see Monday for attachment). Print so there are multiple pages (6 or 9) on each sheet. (2) Bring TKAM Thursday
Stnd: Finish Archetype Notes (see Monday for attachment).
Write a story in groups. Use at least six archetypes. This is in class,
I'll give another opportunity to finish.

Stnd: Begin reading TKAM as a class. I'll demonstrate
annotations (we did most of chapter 1). Homework: finish annotating
chapter 1 for Friday.

TAG: Begin annotating TKAM as a class. Homework: finish
annotating chapters 1-2. You can do this with your partner. It will be
checked Friday. On Thursday, I'll check your journals for themes and
evidence.

ALL: Free Reading Friday. This is the first week I'll be checking that you read an hour in
in the past week. If you haven't, you will have to make it up by Monday. The hour
you make up will not count as your hour for next week. Meaning: you'll have two.

Stnd: Review annotations for chapter 2 (due today). Begin reading and annotating chapters 3-4 (due Thursday)
TAG: Define and discuss: Situational Irony, Dramatic Irony, Theme, Idiom. Annotate chapters 3-4 (to use tomorrow).

Stnd: Discuss Character (review internal/external characteristics and conflict and direct and indirect characterization. Create Chart. Read TKAM.
TAG: Read/Respond to an article on the Scottsboro Trial.
Discuss tomorrow's assignment (find another court case or event that links to TKAM).
Work on TKAM maps. Remember: Quotes for: locations, mood, character, events, conflicts etc.

TAG: Work on research project. We will have computers today.
Due Tuesday (extended deadline): TKAM
Research/Connections project. (Assignment link on 9/16). Reminder: if
you choose to show your connections in a way other than an essay be sure
to "ok" it with me. Make sure you have a small write-up to explain your
presentation. Use the search tools I gave
you! Sweetsearch.com, the LOC, and the personalized Google search engine
are great resources. Annotate on Diigo.
Stnd: Annotations for chapters 1-8 (end of 8) are due
today. Begin adding new events/people to your list (began 9/13). Add
page numbers. Check that you have more than just highlighting in your
TKAM books.
Due Monday: Read and annotate through to the end of
chapter 10. Finish List (through to the end of chapter 10). Possible
quiz Monday.

All: Free Reading Friday. I will check for your hour of reading
Stnd: I will have a computer set up so you can print your TKAM essays from last week.
TAG: You can work on your research OR read today.

Week Six: 9/26-9/30

Stnd:
Possible POP Quiz on Chapters 1-10 (to the END of 10). I will check
your chart (we started it on 9/13, and added to it 9/22). Remember-you
need page numbers so you can go back and forth between your list and
your book).
TAG: Finish Research (possibly...this will be decided
Friday, 9/23). We may also have a few presentations today-depending on
product. Extension until Wednesday!

Discuss Character (character dolls--you and someone from TKAM). Begin
Situational Archetypes (possibly). 6th period: possibility to make up
quiz from yesterday.
TAG: Mr. Bohac will be in to talk to us today.

6th: character.Continued from Tuesday-Go over MLA format,
create two character booklets. One for you and one for a TKAM character.

TKAM, continue from yesterday/Tuesday. Went through journals to make
sure everyone was up-to-date. I've attached the lists for each class.
Remember, your pages don't need to match mine..they just need to match
up with the content in YOUR journal! Table of Contents (1st,2nd,3rd,6th)
